I have a question really quick >.<

So i am running wow on my laptop with windows 7. My f1-f12 buttons are by default bound to things like sound and screen brightness and what not. now i know how to change my key bindings in game... problem is my f keys dont work at all in game except for their normal computer functions... does anyone know how to turn this off? it really would make my life easier if i could use them for my bottom left action bar, but it wont let me bind them there.
